Engineering Society The science of engineering proves fascinating to many of Oak Park High ' s students. A club was formed for those students so that they might learn more about this field. It does this through field trips to firms or campuses and guest speakers who have some background in the field of engineering. Many members of the Engineering Club give service to the school through their work on various projects. The purposes of the Chess Club are; to enable its mem- bers to play the game of chess, to conduct tournaments, and matches and other forms of chess competition, to play matches with other clubs; to provide instruction and entertainment for the members, to promote interest in die game of chess, and to present Oak Park High School with chess competition. 98

The Photography Club, whose sponsor is Mr. Charles Kepley, proved to be a great learning experience for all those interested in photography. Some activities sponsored by the club were: an exhibition of photographs taken by club members, a contest for the best photograph, field trips, and guest speakers. Teaching The Three R ' s The purpose of the Future Teacher ' s Club is to acquaint students planning a career in education with the various aspects of the teaching profession.
