The Cultural Aspect These two departments, art and music, provide a cultural oudet for the teenager ' s creative abilities. The teachers try to give the students some way of expressing their arti- stic interests. They also acquaint them with the history of the fine arts. Physical Education The physical educaUon training program, as most Oak Park students certainly realize, is more than a play hour. The physical education teachers try to develop and train their pupils toward physical fitness and manual dexterity. In addition, the students learn sportsmanship and cooperation, which are of immense importance in order to take a respon- sible position in the adult world. Industrial Arts In the industrial arts program, students are given an op- portunity to develop skills and interests in vocations and hobbies, and are taught to use modern machines in a safe and serious atmosphere.
