Ralph Mayers. J.V. Brings High Hopes The Junior Varsity Basketball team had a good season, however they lost three very close games. The team, coached by Mr. Gary Walters, looks very promising. Many of the J.V. players will play on the Varsity next year, and will add strength to the Varsity team. An Oak Park player prepares to rebound. Baseballers Have Good Start The Oak Park High School Varsity baseball team started strongly in 1961, winning three of its first four games. The team faded however, in the latter part of the season to finish with a 3-9 won-lost record. Hopes for the 1962 team looks bright with the return of three lettermen pitchers: Al Balfour, Art Perierra, and Bob Click.
