SPORTS At Oak Park High, competition plays an important part in all phases of the school; from play try-outs to council elections, from teacher ' s pet to rank in class. But competition, as such, is the outstanding characteristic of the athletic department. All students participating in a sport learn the valuable lesson of playing as part of a team, and acquire a sense of sportsmanship. Athletics are, undoubtedly, a vital part of high school life. 106
