Homecoming 1960 Friday, November 4, was a great day in Oak Parle ' s history. For the first time the vshole school partici- pated in an event which made this homecoming the best by far. The Varsity Cheerleaders and the Student Council joined forces and presented a pep rally. High- lighting the pep rally was the an- nouncement of the Homecoming Queen. The representatives of each grade were: Freshman, Joyce Gold; Sophomore, Marlene Verier; Junior, Pam Epstein: and Seniors Ann Beretsky. Gail Bilto, and Joyce Golden. Joyce Golden was chosen Queen. The bleachers were blazing with red and white, as each student did his part to cheer for the school and win the spirit jug for his class. Students participated in a city wide parade. They decorated their own cars and drove them through Oak Park. After the parade they packed the stadium and cheered wildly as Oak Park defeated Madison with an 18 to 14 victory. The Senior Class was awarded the spirit jug for their outstanding participation in Homecoming ac- tivities. These Seniors worked hard, decorating their car for the Homecoming;
