'?.':,,-H Dr James N Pepper After a few short years, the Oak Park High School has achieved its rightful position as one of Michigan's out- standing secondary schools. During this brief span of time, all requirements for accreditation by the University of Michigan and the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools have been met in a highly satisfactory manner. In meeting the high standards of these accrediting agencies, accomplishments have been most noteworthy, not only in terms of excellent buildings and equipment but also in regard to many important areas of curriculum development To meet the challenge of the new space age programs are now being developed to emphasize sound human relations and international understanding as well as scientific and mathematical competence Oak Park High School, blessed with a diversity of religious and cultural patterns 1S truly demonstrating through its students and staff that real progress comes only when persons of good will can l1ve and work together towards the solution of their common problems The staff of the REVOIR and its faculty advisor are to be congratulated upon their choice of International Under standing as the theme for this years publication Since a fine foreign student exchange program has been 1n1t1ated this year through student interest and faculty support a more appropriate motif could not have been selected Your school and community are proud of you for your contribution in this important area of human relations Dr James N Pepper Superintendent of Schools Our school board has been in existence for about ten years They have made the policy for our schools and in doing so have made the Oak Park school district one of the best in the country Dr Pepper our superintendent is responsible for carrying out the policy established by the board The school board an superintendent should be commended for their liberal expenditure of time and effort which has done so much to create our wonderful school system l......,.........
