Second Row fLeft to Rightl: Coach Glenn Goerke, Errol Sweet, Stanley Dorfman, Stuart Eisenberg, Tom Tanski, Robert Rosenberg, David Blondy. J. V. Basketball Breaking away from opposing defensemen, Stan Dorfman dribbles down the floor. Oak Park's Junior Varsity Basketball team carved out a creditable 7-9 record this season. After starting rather slowly they worked up to a burst of energy which enabled them to take five of their last eight games. Coach Glenn Goerke believes the team is capable of playing better than 500 ball and expects a winning season next year. Although most of the juniors on the team will be elevated to the Varsity, over three- fourths of the players are expected to return. In addition, new participants in the sport are expected to stiffen competition and make it extremely hard to earn a position on the team. This year's young team developed con- stantly and there was great improvement in many of the players. Next year these boys will have the ex- perience necessary to make them into good ballplayers and to give Chk Park a strong Junior Varsity team.
