Due in part to the fact that students recognized how valuable their learning of these subjects could be. Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Independent Study Biology classes prepared the students for a career in science. Favorite units of study for the students were Classification and Reproduction. More students are also realizing that having a math background helps open doors to new careers. Alge- bra I and Il, Geometry, Trigonometry, Intro Calculus, and Math Applications Lab were the courses offered by the Math Department in the 1978-79 year.
