gx W ef hrough a wide range of instructional approaches the Language Art Department offered various courses geared to student interest, vocational goals, and ability levels. Students found many classes in a variety of areas. Courses were not limited to particular texts and materials. Along with the A-V equipment and library references, students found the department's resource center to be of great assistance in the preparation of assignments. Aside from basic study of grammar, literature, and writing, the student learns to listen, discuss, and think critically, not only in group sessions but with himself. Intimate Communications, Advance Comp., Grammar and Communications ll and Ill are a few of the courses offered. Students have the opportunity to meet with teachers in large groups, small groups, or independent study. Top, Mrs. Ross's students prepare English assignments.
