This year the Shield is sort of an anniversary present for the seniors... They are the first graduating class to attend all four years... And those four years hold a lot of memories ... Some happy and some sad... They've seen some of the faculty come and go... They've seen our ups and down in sports . . This year we fared well insports ... Our wrestlers placed first in Confer- ence, second in Sectionals and sent seven boys tostate... Although the basket- ball players didn't take conference, they improved greatly ... There's promise of a good team next year .. . Same goes for the football team, who placed sec- ond inthe Conference... Remember the times we ate lunch in the Home-Ec room? ...From there we graduated to the cafeteria ... And we got to eat those sandwiches... Then there was the new stadium... That was a blessing! ...No more standing in the mud or dust to watch the games in the Dust Bowl’... And now we watch the wrestling matches in the gym and not in the library .. The girls tumbled in the halls and we dodged Carpenters onthe way “to class We've come a long way from then. .. DO YOU REMEMBER?
