UDENT LIFE The sound of a gavel calls a meeting to order. Excited students cheer as a basket is scored. Mu- sic blares and lights flash. The hum of friendly voices and the ring of laughter sounds through the halls. A repetition of sights and sounds takes place each day. Repetition is what makes up a school :year. Repetition which would lapse into monotony if it weren't for the clubs, projects, games and the lit- tle everyday incidents of school life. The year may pass slowly while you,re living it, but looking back on it, it seems to have passed too fast. The freshman year is a time for newness, a new beginning and new friends. The sophomore year cements these beginnings and friends. A Junior feels he is really a part of the school at last. The Senior year is a year of reflection, some regret, some anxiety and fear of the future; but mainly relief to have gotten through the last four years With graduation, a phase of life closes for every Highlander. The familiarrsights and sounds of each day lapse into one memory of Oak Hills. 5 - Sludunl Life
