The suc- cess of the 8-1-1- season is marked by many outstanding performances on both an individ- ual and team basis and several new records. With 89 points scored. Chuck Walroth, named this year's Most Valuable player. now holds the school record for most points scored in one season. as well as in rushing. total offense, pass interceptions, and punt returns. Co-cap- tain Ken Hummel wins the team's t'lron Man award, while Dave Hewitt is awarded HBest Lineman, Greg Huff is uBest Back, and Gerry Lane is named most improved. Chuck Wal- roth. Ken Hummel. and Ken Helton are mem- bers of the alHeague team and Ken Heiton is named to WCPOts first team and Chuck Wal- roth to the second.
