PREDICTIONS FOR THE FUTURE Well, I guess it'sthe gypsy in me --I don't know any other reason Why they chose me to foretell the class prophecy. I will now gaze into the crystalball to see what the future holds for this grand class of 1959. Turn onward, Turn onward Oh time in your flight Let me see the graduates of '59 Ten years from tonight! IIMMIE TALLEY has been looking around for an office to hang his shingle on. You know he is a dentist, I suppose. I always did wonderwhy heworked so hard to build up those muscles. Hold on to your chair pa- tients, please. My, that new filling station that WILLIAM FRAZIER is building is really swell. Some people wonder how he does so well, but I would like to know if his conscience hurts when he sells three quarts of gas for a gallon. ' AL GLASSCOCK is doing quite well for himself in his hardware store in Volens, Virginia. He says the women don'tbuy rolling pins anymore, but to tell the new ladies he has another supply of car grease. April's issue of CHARM really disappe are d from the newsstand, but no wonder. It was our own SANDRA GLASSCOCK'S fa ce smilling pretty on the cover, wearing a new Easter bonnet. She really isa lovely model. GLEN BLACKWELL is the fellow to call when you need to have the sink unstopped. I understand he is a first rate plumber. He should be, he cut his teeth on a pair of pliers in his fat.her's garage. Look at the gang, folks. Do you see who I see? None other than our own JERRY PUCKETT, who is- now in the United States Marines. CALVIN OWEN and WILSON GREENWAY are two of the most successful farm ers of our day. I've heard they had to build larger barns this year and they are buy ing new machinery. What they learnedin F.F.A. must have helped a lot. Say, what's this ? Buy y our tickets for the wrestling match tonight. DORIS STONE DEFENDS I-IER CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE. Well, all I can say is, it should be exciting because BRENDA CLARK is her manager. HELEN LONG made the headlines on the sports page when the Boston Red Sox won the pennant. You know she is manager of the team. Her manager hopes that she will retire in the future and manage their own five players. If any of you fellows and girls go riding on the road of matrimonylonyour honeymoon, how about dropping in to see MARY CAMPBELL in Florida? I understand she has quite a fleet of yachts. I see CECIL HOWARD still going steady. But wait! It's not the one he used to go with at OI-II-IS. He said the reason for that was because the one at OHHS bought a can opener for a wedding present, and he doesn't like canned foods to eat all the time. Zoom there goes MARSHALL MURRAY and some members from his HOT ROD CLUB. I see ALLEN NELSON who is in the crop spraying business. They say, he will just spray crops around Nelson, Virginia. Could his future wife live there? I see LG. ELLIOTT still using his basketball jump shot playing for the Boston Celtics. ROSE DUNCAN is still waiting at home . She iswaiting for I-Ioyle Day to say the words. fBe my wifel. BETTY JEAN NEWTON is marriedto Clifton Elliott. It looks like the old woman that lives in a shoe she had so many children she doesn't know what to do. Now I finally see ELSIE CHANDLER who is a school teacher. And in this manner do we dispose of our possessions: Item I To our adviser, Mrs. S. M. Watkins, the Senior Class leaves its de epe st appreciation for all she has done for us in our Senior year. Item II To the Juniors, the Senior Class bequeaths its Senior Dignity. Item III To the Sophomores, the Senior Class bequeaths its love for study and never ending homework. Item IV To the Freshmen, the Senior C la ss leaves the hope that they will soon be in the position that we now occupy. JLMMIE TALLEY leaves his ability to keep his bus clean and waxed to Henry Frazier. J.G. ELLIOTT leaves his amazing Jump Shot to Harold Slaughter. GLEN BLACKWELL leaves his ability to get in trouble to Glen Wall. WILLIAM FRAZIER leaves his quiet ways to Ralph Elliott. CROWDER WHITT leaves his ability not to ask questions in Plane Geometry to Bobby Elliott. AL GLASSCOCK leaves his good driving record to Bobby Winston. WILSON GREENWAY leaves his ability to get good grades to Glen Wall. And I, MARSHALL MURRAY, leave my ability to make smart remarks to Ira Nelson.
