CLASS HISTORY We the class of 1959 entered high school in 1955. What a thrillto change classes and have anew face to look at each hour. We really felt independent being able to be- long to a club and take part in other high school activities. However, we were not yet ready to make the larger decisions that were to come in later years. In our Sophomore year we were honored by being able to serve at the junior-Sen- ior Banquet. The the me was Painting the Town Red, a nd boy! did we sophomores help spreadthat paint all around town. I think everyone, especially Cecil and Marshall, will remember serving at the Teachers' Banquet in the Fall of 1957. No one can ever forget our junior year. It is a pleasure to reminisce the fun a nd excitement we had in presenting Aunt Tillie Goes To Town. Remember--Bettyjean Newton as Aunt Tillie, Elsie Chandler as Lucinda Talbot, S a n dr a Glascock as Pamela Marsh, Brenda Clark as Linie Parsons, Helen Long as Ellen N e el a n d, jerry Puckett as Ronald Howla n d, Cecil Howard as Luther Lorrimer, jimmy Talley as Mervin Tucker, Wilson Greenway as Charlie One Lung, Doris Stone as Mrs. Tillie Tucker, Rose Duncan as Dr. I-Iattie Bing. It was a night of Great Splendor on April 25, 1958, when we gave our junior- S e ni or Banquet. There we re many Sweethearts on Parade as our theme was April Love. I think the dance afterwards was enjoyed by all. We are now Seniors. We have been working hard under the direction of our spon- sor, Mrs. Watkins. It has also been a year of fun as th ere is still a little competition between Al and Allen as to who will be remembered as the Class Comedian. During the spring months we staged our Senior Playfa real dramatic productionj, were royally entertained at the banquet by the juniors, and had numerous parties a nd picnics. Now we wish to address our appreciation to Mr. Adcock, the faculty, and our parents for all they have done to help us along the way. Let us be true to our motto, Knowledge comes but Wisdom Lingers. jerry Puckett Historian
