Qasf anofyesfamenf We, the Senior Class of One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty-Six, of Oak Hill High School, Granville, County, of the State of North Carolina having completed our pursuit of knowledge in school and wishing to distribute our various assets equally and accordingly, do hereby execute this last will and testament. Individual Bequeaths Joel Woodlief wills his determination to get a diploma to George Culbreth and wills his weight to Thomas Lunsford, who really doesn't need it. fjfe Szczfure gfffe Gkss 917956 Behold! What have we here? The ticking of a clock that foretells the future for the members of the graduating class of 1956. Now shall the mighty graduates shiver in their shoes as the clock tells the tales of brilliancy and honor. Whose name shines be- hind this luminous clock! I see a long room around the sides of which are seated many girls. It is a telephone office. And the head operator is Mary. I knew her as soon as she said, Lines busy. She always did like to talk a lot in school. Dan is captain of the star football team at the Cotton Bowl in Texas. He certainly is a ladies' man with those he -man shoulders. Then I saw a man dressed in brown. Wilbur had finally joined the army and is in France. Wonder if he ever gets K.P.? Well, Shellie has finally accomplished her ambition to become a newspaper re- porter. She has won the 35000.00 award for two years in succession for her Big Stories. I find Joel Chief Engineer of the DuPont Chemical Co. of Baltimore, Maryland. He hasn't changed one bit since his high school days except a trifle stouter. I saw Irvan the other day at The Annual World Fair in New York City. He was the top star in Dare Devil Races. Why, there is Glennis teaching Physical Education to the boys at U.C.L.A. in Los Angeles, California. She always was a tomboy in school. Herman was never very loud in class at school, but he has increased his motive for talking. He is the best news announcer on TV in Norfork, Virginia. I see Robert Lee has just caught a crook that robbed the National Bank. His chief gave him a promotion. He is now one of the top policemen in Germany. Wyche has finally become a great artist. His name is well known from shore to shore. His paintings and drawings hang in the great Art Museums of the world and his name goes down in history with other great artists. The vision of a church came to me and I saw a beautiful bride walking down the aisle. None other than Gertrude. I know she will make Billy a good wife. I see Joe Lee is a famous surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I know he takes good care of his patients. Grover is owner and manager of the huge chain of restaurants known all over the world as the Eat and Run Restaurants. There goes G. W. and his wife Mary Lee. He must have a real good job, look at the mink coat she is wearing. Ruth is in Washington D.C. teaching Commerce in the largest high school there and is very busy sponsoring the Capitol Hi, the school newspaper. Since Milton Berle has retired, Tennie Lee has taken his place on television as top comedian. He is now known as Mr. Television by everyone in the United States. Winn's latest movie Jimbo's Last Stand, was the movie voted the best seller of the year. Winn is Hollywood's most raved about young actor. He is now making another great Tarzan movie in Africa since he was made the new Tarzan last month. I see Reid is a Broadway song writer and author of many popular hits. He is also a singer ranking along with Eddie Fisher. By now I guess you all wonder what the ticking of the clock holds in store for me. As it strikes the hour, it says that Mildred is with the F.B.I. in Washington, D.C. Mildred Overton ' U
