This class of Freshmen are now thoughtful Seniors. A Whom shall we thank? - Our parents, who have striven to give us as many advantages as they could, the noble- minded men and women of the board, the Superintendent and the committeemen for their choice of teachers, and, the teachers who have labored so faithfully with us during these eleven years, and have succeeded at last in fitting us to meet life's problems. U3 in l93'7 had become big daring children in the seventh Eilghgr grade. It was in this gr: de that we gained two of our 'ie yily , 535 present Senior boys, Crawford Lart, Jr., and Howard wtf pigfl WHQ, Frazier. We went on a weiner roast to the Aaron Creek ibgaggiii gg? Bridge, better known as the Long Bridge. There were sever-ifpfffllg gig al field trips which most of the class will always re- Eff ffgjf member . . gjjfggfglc , The next year was one of the greatest in our lives, Q55 our first year in high school. Our teachers were Miss .'jf',T2Q Clota Braswell, Kiss Lucy Pat Heade, T. M. Wilson, 'fi and the principal, llr, F. li. Bailey, Jr. We were often gif? referred to as the worse class in school. ' ZQQQQQQQQ Egg We looked forwardto our sophomore year with much wmfggflgp wonder as we had a new set of teachers, Mr. I. B. Talton, gig Miss Cliffie Hobgood, Kiss Helen Brett, and the Principal, ggfgggggi Mr. G. H. Baker, Jr. That year we gained our third boy, T ,'p. T Beile Chandler, who has finally decided that he likes Oa Hill 'figh School best . H, gig ' The tenth grade was almost as new to us as the eighth Eifigggg TEE grade. We had our same home room teacher, Kiss Hobgood. . IAf5ggff5 ggi A new subject, home economics, was offered to the girls LQQSQQQQQ EEE that year, with Miss Annabelle Bowman as teacher. phr. R. W,gQ5QE5?? gay Willetts succeeded Hr. Talton as our science teacher. We Ear 1-H4 gave as our -junior play, Decon Dubbs with lii ss gobgood as director, who was often referred to as our ol stand L'j.j,:ffg.f eiil v gig byu, The Jgntgr-iegggi banquet was enjoyed by the juniors, giifffii seniors an e a . ,ia Emi The long-looked-fog year finally arrivtd and we took Pliggeif ggi the place of the dignified seniors. Miss Marguerite 532555335 Currin who succeeded Iliss Bowman as home economics ggi teacher, was our home room teacher.
