One of the most striking impressions which a student receives from the music department is a feel- ing of tremendous activityl 'I his feeling derives not so much from the large number of students filling the lllLISiC rooms, or the apparently ceaseless sounds echoing from all corners, but from the great diver- sity which characterizes the total music program. During any one day a casual visitor may find a beginning student learning to find on the clari- net tothe Varsity liand rehearsing Chorale and Alleluia. One might hear the 'leen 'l ones singing a two part chorusg the Eagleaires meeting four and five part songs for the first time or the Varsity Singers learning Houston l3right's The Stars are with the Voyager.
