Golf During rhe summer the golf feom practiced hard at home. When the season began, they weren't sure how it would go because they hod never practiced as a team. They proved they could work well under pressure and rhe individual practice helped. The whole golf team improved over the year but Gerry Wallace showed rhe most improvement with eight strokes under last year's record. This book's for you Golf Team, because your hard work and determination paid off. Coach Quinn says that next year's team performance will depend on how much the returning seven players practice during the summer. Dennis Barton, get over herel Dorn, now I'm 10 over por. If I could only get this in I'd hove o birdie. I'm coming coach Quinn. Con anyone find my golf boll? Golf 21

The Best Record Ever!!! Varsity Reserve 16-3 3-16 The varsity ream consists of two sophomores, four juniors, and four seniors; four of which ore three-year lettermen. The team has a strong nucleus. Coach Bechtel stated, I think it will be there year after year. There was a lot more TEAM EFFORT this year and that equals o super season. They worked os o team, not os individuals. It was a great season! It wos steady. The most gomes lost at any time was two. The whole ream wos really psyched for this fantastic season. There was a more consistent winning effort. The winning percentage was a 72%. ’’We con keep it that way! exclaimed Coach. She soys that she hates to moke predictions but, she is looking forward to next year. She soys she hos the people that con continue o winning season IF they ore ready to work in the off season — winter, spring, ond summer. The reason for our winning season is that the team wasn't afraid of working hard in the off season, Coach explained, and that's why we hod a winning ream. Ms. Bechtel hod one more interesting quote of advice: NOTHING THAT IS WORTH IT COMES EASY. The reserve team wos a very young team. There were nine new members and only two returning teammates. A lot was to be learned. If you look bock at gome 1 they've come on awful long way, but they con still learn more, stored Coach Bechtel. Reserves will get better os they become ’A TEAM'. This was Miss Bechtel's fifth year at coaching varsity volleyball ond Miss Browning's second at coaching the reserve team. Coach Bechtel's captains were Sandy Schwartz and Jackie Harder, ond Miss Browning's two captains were Shari Brugger and Robbin Reinhart. To end the season at the sports banquet the following teammates received the following awards: HIGHEST SPIKING PERCENT................SANDY SCHWARTZ.....................78% HIGHEST SERVING PERCENT................KELLY KRETZ........................98% MOST IMPROVED..........................STACY WOOD ROCKET AWARD ..........................JACKI HARDER 20 Volleyball
