Go fish. Dovid!! All dressed up ond no ploce ro go .. . There ore mixed emotions obour going home. San Antonio Texas The Alomo. o populor spot in Son Antonio. On August 10, 1982, 89 Luther Leaguers and sponsors from the Oak Harbor area left from Detroit Metro Airport for Son An- tonio, Texas for a Notional Youth Gathering. Approximately 16,000 Luther Leaguers from Lutheran churches oil over the United States attended. Youth from St. Paul's Oak Harbor, St. John's Pocky Ridge, Colvory Lutheran Toledo, ond Huron joined with St. John's Oak Horbor ro form the largest single group attending the Convention. The group stayed in the Hilton Hotel in Son Antonio which wos across the street from the Convention Center. After arriv- ing. they rook o 2Vi hour tour of Son Antonio including the Lone Sror Brewery, The Alamo, ond downtown Son Antonio. Every doy there were sessions or the Convention Center arena. At night there were programs to attend and fiestas to enjoy. Everyone hod a chonce ro meet many people and moke new friends. Everyone hod a great rime ond will remember the trip for many years to come. Ir looks like they're hoving fun!! Son Antonio, Texas 9
