Remembering all the fun we've had And times we've spent together, You leave the memories in our hearts We'll cherish now and forever. Although you 're not here with us now, Your spirits live on through; Earle, Jim, Jim, Tom, and Don, We'll always remember you. --D. Foreman Donald L. Whiting Friend, I will remember you, Think of you, Pray for you... --J. Denver James L. Foreman Memories never fade but grow dearer to the heart. --C. Wittman No love-- no frienasmp-- can cross the path of our destiny without leaving some mark. --Mauriac Thomas A. Shanteau Tom, Jim, and Earle James L. Pierson This book is dedicated to these five seniors who were killed in an automobile accident on Decem- ber 3, 1971. Many smiles, many tears I recall from these days Once lived; often remembered Sunshine days, rainy nights, Friendships gained or lost; Special days, full of joy; Quiet days, full of comfort. —N. Sprouse A part of them remains In memory; images and precious thoughts That shall live in hearts Forever... --B. Fought Earle H. Douglas I cannot say, and I will not say That he is dead. He is just away, With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand, He has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since he lingers there. And you—Oh, you, who the wildest yearn For an old time step, and the glad return, Think of him faring on, as dear In the love of There as the love of Here. They placed third in the SBC and fourth in the Lakota In- vitational. The team boasted five seniors this season. With the talent and ex- perience of the returning under- classmen, the cross country team is looking forward to its next season. 47 Football Season — 1971 Remember?. . . pepmeetings? . . . Rollie the Rocket? . . . green and red? . . . the bleachers that always broke? . . . the fight song? . . . when Seniors won pep week? . . . There's so much to remember - es- pecially for Seniors. On these pages we hope to have captured those special moments when all of us were on the same side, when we all were jubilant with victory and disheartened with defeat. We have captured only a few of the memo- ries of Football '71 - Memories that may be blurry in the minds of the underclassmen but are and al- ways will be precious and vivid in the minds of the Seniors. 50 Doris Diefenthaler 1971 Homecoming Queen 52 Senior: CINDY BUTZIN Junior: CLEAH HOCKIN Queen: DORIS DIEFENTHALER Freshman: SHEREE JOHNSTON Sophomore: PAT WAINWRIGHT Moments To 54 Remember . . . 55 72 HA R B OR LITES'72 HARBORHARBORLI 30RLITES72 HARBORLITES’72 ES’72 HARBORLITES’72 HAHARB01 ARBORLITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 ’ LITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 HARBORLII ORLITES’72 HARBC ILITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 H 772 HARBORLITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 R B OR LITES’ 72 HARBORLITES’72 ARB0RLITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 ’7 HARBORLITES’72 HARBORLITES’72 HARBORLIT ’ES72HARB0R ARBORLITES’7 LITES’72 HARE 2 HARBORLI iORLL S72HARB0RL RBORLITES’72 TES’72 HARBO HARBORLITES — LITES’72 H . 2 HARBORi 'OR LITES''7. Wandering through The corridors of my mind, Seeing things as they once were; The sweet smile on someone's face, Nearing laughter of long ago, Stumbling over broken dreams Scattered at my feet. Through a smoky haze seeing friends, Though some are forever gone. Reliving days of happiness and joy Or times of sorrow and tears.
