CHRISTMAS deftl Sabrina Turner and es- cort Danny Graham tRighO Shana Noteman with escort Shawn Fox DANCING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND The I984 Christmas dance was one of the Student Councils many devotions to the students of Oak Grove High School. The efforts made by the Student Council were once again very successful. The dance was held on the East Mezzanine of the High School gym. The music for the dance was supplied by Quadra Sound Mobile Music Systems of Columbia, Mo. Each candidate was nominated and voted on by their fellow classmates during their class meetings. The Senior candidates, Susan Barkus and Dave Baxter will have the memories of representing their class in the Christmas dance. Juniors, Bobby Zimmershied and Sabrina Turner will look on to their senior year. Shawn Fox and Shana Noteman, sophomore candidates, will remember it as a year in the rising. Freshman candidates, Randy Nadeau and Michelle Cooper, faced the new experience and began to realize the fun of being in high school. Between the beats of New Wave Rock 'N' Roll, the Christmas court walked through the crowd to await the crowning. Santa Claus made an appearance as Shelly Moore announced the King and Queen, Dave Baxter and Susan Barkus. Scott Tucker and Greg George awarded the Queen with a crown and the King with a key ring. As Dave Baxter and Susan Barkus danced as King and Queen the rest of the couples joined in. The enjoyment of the dance lingered through the crowd to make the night complete. The night was filled with a lot of 3 laughs and maybe even a few tears. The l984 Christmas dance ? l was a dance to remember. 15 WW..H-a -n...n....
