Each student in the high school casts a. vote for his c 1 e for each SHADES OF 1971 How time flies! Twenty years have passed since we were graduated from old Oak Grove High. From my seat on this cloud I have had a perfect view of what my one-time class mates have been doing the last few years. let me tell you some of the main achievements they have accomplished since graduating back in 1951. Captain Bob Middleton is at the moment on his ship somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. It is rumored that he is retiring soon. There's John Greer who after years of hard work is head of Jetic Jet Engine Corporation. Sharon Jones has been kept very busy the last few years taking care of her twin boys. Doris Stephenson and her husband are now residing on their southern plantation growing peanuts. Ann Young was just lately appointed Dean of Radcliffe. Patty Wood's latest book, NHow to Meet the Public,n is selling over a thousand copies a month. Keith Wheaton is now owner of some quantity of wheat land in Kansas and is doing very well. Managing Editor of the New York Sun, Vernon Lunceford has just started a campaign to clean up the slums of New York. The now-famous missionary, Esther Agnew, who just returned from India, is lecturing throughout the country. John Cline, better known to us now as the Nloud-mouth comedian,N is taking Broadway by storm. The famous mathematican and master of physics, Walter Grayum, is simplifying the newly dis covered fourth dimension to the 100 I. Q. standard. Florence Canfield and her husband, who is junior partner in the Mainard Construction Co., are living happily in Kansas City. Gary Mainard is also a partner in the firm and soon hopes to start a company of his own. Roger lane and his orchestra are playing in some of the classiest night spots throughout the country. By the way, lane's star trombonist is Paul Clampitt. Daren Davis and NKlllerH Jack Hackley, one of the most famous and-successful fighter-manager teams of the boxing profession, are planning to retire soon. Betty Davis and Wilma Arvin, two of the leading models in New York are working in Fifth Avenue's most exclusive shops. Betty Buzzard, world famous clothes designer, has just returned from Paris, where she attended a designers convention. Ed Lawson has just retired from the professional sport of basketball. Ed played with the Phillips Oilers in the newly-formed International Basketball League and established some scoring records that will probably not be broken for some time. Shirley Larson is now the proprietor of a famous rest resort in the Colorado mountains. My name is Ray Morrison. My success was short-lived, for I died ten years ago while piloting the first rocket ship that tried to reach the moon. iwritten by Ray Morrison! Ann Young Ray Morrison Thirteen-year-old Wilbur Phxwell is probably the only member of the masculine gender who feels he knows all there is to know about ll, and Wilbur says it in no zmcertain terms. The reason is that his two sisters, Connie and Betty Lou, have been getting everything they've ever wanted for years, and poor Wilbur hasn't been getting anything. Not one thing. Not even a nickel. Furthermore, he knows womnvenough to know that helll never get anything as long as theylre around. Until one of them gets married he wonlt get a thing-especially the little horse hels been wanting for so long. So Wilbur and best pal, Hercules Nelson, set out to get sister Connie mrried to Eddie Anderson, her boy friend of the moment. Papa lhxwell hears the boys talking over their plans, and gets the very wrong idea that Connie and Eddie are on the verge of sloping, so be decides to step in and do what a good father should do-throw the boy bodily out of the house. . .
