The usual marching season beglns early ln August before school starts In the fall, and goes until October when state Is held. ln between state and early practice, there is a lot going on with Dakota Bowl and other competition. She started band In the seventh grade at Saint Mary's school and has been playing ever since. Kath started band to meet new friends , and chose partlclpatlng in Jazz when she started at 0'Gorman. What she likes best about band is all the friends l've made. 34 Band Brlan Smlth blows away the audience with a dazzling solo. Why did you join band? I joined band because I liked the wild bunch of people, the music is fun, and we are always having a good time: but, we are serious about what we do. lt is a lot harder than what people think a lot of time and dedication.
