Paint it Blue? The Student Council is the government of the school. Prob- lems and ideas are openly debated and fully expressed. The council serves as a bridge between the students and the faculty. The council is elected each year by their peers to represent every student of each grade. To form this bond of leadership fifty-four students were chosen: four officers, twenty seniors, fif- teen iuniors, eight sophomores, and seven freshmen. The council sought to increase understanding and fraternity by providing entertainment and social activities on a regular basis. They sponsored the Roadrunner Round-Up which proved success- ful for the council and the participating clubs and immensely entertaining to all who attended. Another of their proiects was the painting of the cafeteria. Many students spent a great many hours masking and painting the cafeteria Columbia Blue. They worked side by side in an atmosphere of determination and pride. As a representative voice of the student body, the council worked to better the students' position. Without this voice the students would have no way of expressing their desires concern- ing change. Wyatt can be proud of this body of students who gave so much to making Wyatt not only a better place for the acquisition of knowledge but a place for becoming an active part of our society.
