Varsity Cheerleaders Give Spirit A Big Boost The O. D. Wyatt Varsity Cheerleaders started the year off right by winning one of the spirit sticks at SMU cheerleader school. They lead out in poster par- ties, pep rallys, the Pretty Leg Contest, and other spir- ited functions. The girls' spirit never died throughout continuous pep rallys and perpetual sports events. This enthusiasm earned her the title of Miss Nyatt Spirit. She faithfully attended the maiority of Wyatt's istrict athletic competition shouting her encourage- 1 ent. As President of the pep club, Barbie made ocker decorations for team members and posters or the pep rallies. Her ready smile and faith in Nyatt was appreciated not only by the cheerlead- ars who selected her but by the entire student body. lDavki Leading out in support of Wyatt's teams, David Lowery showed his devotion to the school and faith in its teams by his untiring efforts in their behalf. He was always there to lend a hand at poster parties and in the auditorium when the posters were being put up. His exuberant cheers and shouted encouragements to the athletes always came from the first row of spectators. This loyalty was greatly appreciated by the cheerleaders and the teams they backed.
