Foreign Languages Encourages Better Understanding Foreign language is relevant to our contemporary society. In the obiectives set for modern foreign language instruction we acknowledge the need for Americans to communicate effectively with the nationalities of other countries. The Unite States realizes that the ability to communicate with people of other lands in their own language will result in cultural, socia political, and economic benefits for all. ersonal Expression ls Important ln Speech And Drama Speech is most relevant to contemporary society. More than ever we now realize how important it is to communicate with each other. It becomes much easier to tell it like it is if an individual has a knowledge of speech or debate. Blair Lybbert Drama emphasizes the importance of all phases of theatre. Stagecraft, make-up, and theatre management are vitally important to the production of a play. These phases are taught and utilized in drama along with act- ing and directing.
