-I 5 I The O. D. Wyatt track program grew bigger this year with quality as well as quantity of participants. Some of the seniors that were outstanding tracksters were Ivy Suber, Dick Opperman, and Michael Green, who ran in the sprints and relays, Thomas Jones and Fred Merriwether who did a tremendous iob in the hurdles, and, Roy Frost, Robert Tillman, Michael Nelms, and Fred Merri- wether, who excelled in the field events. In the first track meet, which was the Coaches Indoor meet, our track team qualified more participants than any other high school in Tarrant County. Winning this meet was the start of a vic- torious track season. YOU CAN'T WIN THEM ALL UNLESS YOU WIN THE FIRST ONE. Q' X.
