W. L4 2 1.1 9th Grade The ninth grade basketball team compiled a winning record of seven wins and six losses, The team showed great potential throughout the sea- son. Coach Paul Ingram concentrated on channel- , ing the boundless energy of the players into a con- trolled, diversified attack. Led by Dan Shatford, John O'Hara, and Rich Philpott, the Shamrocks were always competitive. Concentrating on the fundamentals of basket- ball during the year, coach Howard Lodge tried to instill in the players a better under- standing of the finer points of the game. Em phasized throughout the season were sports- manship and hard play. If the improvement that the players showed this year continues, 0'Maley can expect a. highly competitive and a strong ninth grade team next year. Coach: Howard Lodge
