E I life s 1975 1976 Hockey Season 0' Maley O'Maley 0'MaIey 0' Maley 3 0'Maley 4 0' Maley 5 0'Maley 3 0' Maley 1 Swampscott Danvers Beverly Engl ish Saugus Marblehead Sal em Winthrop The 0'MaIey hockey team has done it again' This hustlmg powerhouse of a club has skated its way to ANOTHER successful season Goalie Mark Schlachte, who is small In size, but big in ability was a central reason for the team record Picking off bids from the opposition with great glove handling, Schlnchte helped hold the goals against average to 2 25 Aaron Trefry, the high scoring eighth grade center, was unmerciful to the opposing goal-tenders. Gordie Anderson, Paul Giacalone, Bruce Laurie, and Anthony Ellis were excellent on offense. While forechecking and backchecking con- stantly, these forwards out-passed, out-shot, and out-skated all opposition. Helping the netmind- ers were two invincible defensemen, Mike Aptt and Kevin O'Maley. Aptt put in a few dazzling rushes, while O'Maley let off some sizzling shots. Other players who performed commend- ably are Jeff Brantley, Brian Cusick, Scott Morrissey, Scott Barusso, and Peter Hickey. Displaying superb sportsmanship and team spirit the Shamrocks stickhandled their way to a winning record. 95 I
