Out of nowhere, a town surrounded me. The large sign beside the road read: Welcome to TWELVE-B-VILLE . Near the outskirts of town I drove up to a green house. JANET BUGNET, the proprietor and her two assistants, PAT DALLY and ELIZABETH KESSLER told me that the plants belonged to Sister Margaret Rose. Before leaving the place I met HERVINA COLLINS, the town correspondent, who was checking the plants for her annual report. As I came out of the driveway from the parking lot, I ran right into a large lamp post in the middle of the road. This, as I found out later, was an extra post in the town, placed there by town planner ANNA MAE HUNKA. Chief surgeon, LOUISE DENTINGER, assisted by nurses LEONA HERTER and JOAN NEWBERGER patched me up good as new. While I was at the Hospital, DONNA BERTRAND and MARGARET MC GONIGAL the town mechanics, repaired the damaged car. On my way down to pick up the car, I met the mayor who was none other than the old room rep. - GAIL DEINES. The two of us had lunch at Toni ' s Pizzaria. Here I met the proprietor Antionette (Toni) Marano, and a few other prominent citizens. Among them were DALE CARNAHAN - the local chemistry 30 teacher, EMILY CARDINAL, DIANA MASKWA, and JUDY KUTNEY owners of the local business firms. Dressed to perfection came PAT WOLOSCHUK and LORRAINE LATAINE and PATTI O ' FLAHERTY, models and designers. After lunch I stopped off at the travel Bureau where SHIRLEY KENNEDY and IRENE PARADIS gave me a lovely map of the town. At the next wicket, was SANDRA DEAN, a local inventor, on her way to get a patent on an electric tooth-brush. CATHY SZOSTAK and SYLVIA SYRNYK were buying tickets for a trip to the capital for a degree in medicine. Before leaving TWELVE-B-VILLE, I stopped in at the insurance agency to see ADELINE SMADIS, my lawyer who was till going over last wills and testaments. On my way out of town I heard SUZANNE GOURDINE, the town crier making two announcements. One was something about an opera show being put on by REINA TOUSIGNAT, and the other about a theatre nursery run by MAUREEN KILBRIDE. ARLIE TUCK, a close friend of mine and I (ANNE ELIEFF) plan to settle down in TWELVE- B-VILLE writing prophecies and fiction stories.
