EDITORIAL Following the precedent set by last year’s Envoy, we have endeavoured to give you again a yearbook which pictures the life of O ' Leary - a life of learning and giving, of sport and fun. Synonymous with the name O ' Leary is school spirit - that abstract quality which cannot be captured on film nor justly expressed in words. Of a school it is the very blood stream imparting, as it does, inspiration and stamina to its scholars, physical energy and endurance to its athletes, vitality and enthusiasm to its lovers of the fine arts, and vim and vigor to all its loyal supporters. In Envoy ' 63 we hope to present this year ' s graduates (the first to receive their complete senior high school training at O ' Leary) with a book which will remind them of the problems, the joys and the lighter things of life which made their years at O ' Leary memorable. Lastly, may we extend our most profound thanks to the Principals, Sister Marguerite and Brother Hilarion; to the devoted advisors. Miss MacLellan, Miss Guedo, Mr. Spohn, and Mr. Stacey; to the hardworking staff and to all the O ' Leary students whose co¬ operation and assistance made this year ' s Envoy a reality. Yours in O ' Leary, pt 99

STUDENTS’ UNION Basketball... Homework... Revue... Senior Prom These are but a few of the many memories we remember as we leaf through the pages of this yearbook. We have much to be thankful for since we were blessed with a wonderful school, a will¬ ing teaching staff, and a school spirit that has prevailed unfailingly throughout the past three years. Stretching out before us is the unknown and untried future. But now we are equipped with educational experiences and standards gained during the past twelve years. We sincerely hope that our efforts have been profitable and that we achieve true success in our future endeavors. Farewells to good friends are always a sad undertakings and our good-byes to O’Leary are expressed with deep regret and hesitancy. We know that the graduates, will always cherish fond memories of our days at O ' Leary. To our teachers we extend our thanks for their educational instruc¬ tion and spiritual guidance. To the future graduates we express our wishes for their con¬ tinued success. Finally we offer our personal thanks to the whole student body for the opportunities you have given us to serve O ' Leary. We have en¬ joyed our term as presidents and offer you our appreciation. Presidents of the Students ' Union Pdfc
