RED CROSS CLUB A recent organization in O ' Leary High School is the Junior Red Cross. Composed of seventy members, its aim is to aid the children in poorer countries throughout the world. Under the guiding hand of Miss Lemay and the capable executive, many fund raising projects will and are being started. Dances, games and other such activities are included in the projects at which small admission charges are col¬ lected for the benefit of the Red Cross. FUTURE TEACHERS ' CLUB The Future Teachers ' Club, com¬ posed of members interested in entering the teaching profession if under the spon¬ sorship of Mrs. Yaskowich. The purpose of the club is to inform prospective teachers of the duties involved in this career. Plans are being made for the grade twelve girls to go out to assigned schools and watch the actual methods in teaching. PROMOTIONS CLUB The Promotions Club, under the sponsorship of Miss A. Sprado is com¬ posed of four active members. Its main objective is to advertise the activities and other school clubs. These girls are re¬ sponsible for the many colorful posters appearing on O ' Leary ' s bulletin boards. BACK ROW: Stephanie Beaudoin, Nancy Shulhan, Sally Littlejohn, Anne Uruska. FRONT ROW: Miss A. Sprado. BOOSTER CLUB The enthusiastic members of the Booster Club have turned out in all kinds of weather to give our school teams moral support. This club is vital to the success of school sports and school spirit. Sister Margaret Rose and Brother Lawrence have given the eighteen room representa¬ tives many new cheers and have organized many pep rallies.

DRAMA CLUB The Drama Club, under the sponsor¬ ship of Mrs. Stacey, consists of seventy tentative members. President Ciaran Nolan, Vice President Norma Corlett, and Secretary Treasurer Mary Lou Todorow have divided the membership into nine com¬ mittees dealing with the various phases of make up, costumes, scenery, and other dramatic detail. Plans are underway to enroll the group in the National Thespian Association, which is an association of high school Drama Clubs throughout Cana¬ da and the United States. This active club hopes to stage a production The King ' s English, which is a satire on the English language. BACK ROW: Stephanie Beaudoin, Norma Corlett, Henia Netter, Inge Pfisterer, Mary Lou Todorow. FRONT ROW: Ciaran Nolan, Mrs. Stacey, Ted Paszek. GRADUANDS ' CLUB The purpose of the Graduands ' Club is to assist in the arrangements for the graduation festivities and the nucleus of future alumni. The officers are: President, Wayne Ingram; Vice president, Toni Casagrande; Secretary, Dianne Upright; Treasurer, Ken Graham. The representa¬ tives are Harvey Diduck, Hugh MacDonald, Laurette Lamer, and Elaine Letourneau. As the time neared for the Spring Prom the Graduands ' Club was busy with final plans and arrangements. Graduation ceremonies will be held in the early fall. They promise to retain their enthusiasm for Alumni Activities in the years to come. The faculty advisors are Sister Margaret Rose and Mr. Lamoureux. GOOD COUNSEL CLUB The Good Counsel Clubs of O ' Leary are divided into senior and junior divisions. The Senior division, composed of grade eleven and twelve girls, are under the guidance of Reverend Sister Margaret Rose. The junior girls are supervised by Reverend Sister Claire. The main purpose of this organization is to study the different religious vocations, and to pray for reli¬ gious vocations. Plans are in order to visit the many different religious estab¬ lishments throughout the city.
