Drama nd Choral Lead to an Great Performances Under the direction of Mr. jim Cox, the drama department has expanded consider- ably this year. Among the many classes of- fered by this department are Speech, Oral Interpretation of Literature, and an inde- pendent study course in Technical Production. l Besides their active participation sin in- T terscholastic speech competition, the high- h light of the Drama Department was O' Hara 's First Annual All Catholic Speech Tourna- ment. Under the direction of Sister Karen, and with the assistance of Mrs. Henrietta Abell, the Choral Department offered opportunities for performance in three annual concerts and in regional competition. Reigning over her kingdom, Yurtle, the King of the tur- tles, played by Laurie Suckiel, throws a fierce scowl over her subjects. 'H 'mi I ABOVE: Sam Catalano, Laura Mitchner, and Barbara Wynne put a lot of hot air into the props for Storybook A A Tales. 1 qv 9'
