New ypes of English Courses Add ariety This is the second year the English department has offered semester course electives for juniors and seniors. Courses in American, English, and Western literature are Varied in content and approach, giving students a wide Variety from which to choose. Film Media is a new course this year. Two practical courses are basic Writing and Reading Unlimited. Freshmen and sophomore English classes include emphasis on the basic skills of writing, recognition of types in literature as well as interpretation, and language study. . ? ABOVE: Chris Branski, Karen Harden, and Becky Hoener interpret some literature for their English I class.
