Junior Squads rnprove During Season The Freshman Football team, coached by Fred Turner and Coach Don Emig, completed an over-all 8-4 record, winning their last seven in a row. In their final game, they beat Rockhurst who had previously handed them two deeats. The sophomore and IV teams had shorter schedules and except for the Hogan game they had to settle for a few heartbreakers. As the season progressed, however, more and more underclassmen were called upon to give the varsity bench strength. With the strong finish, the 1973 squad matched last year's record of 4-5-l and O'I-Iara has yet to lose more than half its season's games. Rob Rouen and Mark Smith paced the O'l-Iara scorers with twenty -four points each, as ten Celtics contributed to this year's scoreboard. Although the team had only nine seniors, they were able to come Within five points of all their opponents except two.
