Parade Survives , Despite The Homecoming Parade came off as a big success despite the bad weather conditions. Many people lined Smiley Street to watch as the fire engines, floats, cars, and trucks rolled by led by the O Fallon Marching Band. The energetic cheerleaders and pom-pon girls kept everyone's eyes open, the clowns provided sweets for the kids, and the male student council members showed off their bike- riding skills. Also featured in the parade the 1983 Homecoming Queen can- didates. They were seniors, Kelly Darnell, and Leslie Stein; juniors, Mande Wood and Pam Veach; sophomores.
