It supports many is orthwhile org lIll7dil0IlS and Just last term helped out in the passing of p mmphlets md periodicals o the school As for social activities the club had an lntormal party at Gloria Schultes home We are planning a has ride early in December and a C hristmfis Pirty On November I8 we went on a field trip to the Better Business Bureau md to the t ll xmber ot Commerce November 20 It was verx worthwhile and educational GIRLS RIFLE TEAM O'Fallon Girls Rifle Team is an affiliated member of the National Rifle Association, the Civilian Mark- manship program of the U. S. Army, and the Greater St. Louis Junior Rifle League. Each mem- ber must learn to fire from prone, stand, sit, and kneel positions, which in turn after completing basic training by N.R.A. Standards enable them to work toward individual diplomas and medals in the following categories: Promarksman, Marksman First Class, Sharpshooter, Expert, and Distin- guished Rifleman. It is possible for each member to receive an official O'Fallon letter by obtaining a score of 155 firing 5 shots in each position and par- ticipating in League matches during the school year. Our Girls Team meets in Room 6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week and is sponsored by Mr. Uphouse. Greater St. Louis Teams our girls fire against are: 0'Fallon Boys, Beaumont High Boys, C.B.C. Boys, Cleveland Boys, Southwest Boys, Country Day Boys, Ferguson Florissant Boys, Beaumont Girls, and Cleveland Girls.
