I, Mary Ann O'Connor, leave: My nickname of Beanie to its rightful owner, Margaret Hartl. My gift of gab to Lee Anne Bryant. Don't waste it, girlie. My ability to have a good time to Joyce Kendall. My mgramatic ability to do Chemistry problems to Sonny. Your future is assured, onny.- I, Bette Freese, leave: My loose fitting sweater to Mary Ann Bondurant. My ability to lose weight to Martha Sisk. My dancing ability to L. Dee Gregory. All my Senior and any other privileges to Wally Besser. My love of audible reading to my English Teacher. I, Viola Davis, leave: My curly hair to Gloria Williams. Your troubles are over, Gloria. My knack of being blamed for everything to Patty Neilson. My ability not to gain a pound to Mary Teresa. My love for basketball to Lee Anne Bryant. Last, but not least, I simply leave. This document signed and sealed on this the second day of June, in the year of our Lord, 1947. VIOLA DAVIS, Attorney. Witnesses: WIIDCAT WILLIE AND CALEDONIA. SEPTEMBER-1957 The Merrymakers are assembled in the new deluxe auditorium of O'Donofhue High School waiting for their guests, the class of '47, The only member of the class in sight at present is Lootie Flynt, now known as Miss Lucianne Flynt, head of World Art Corporation. She is engaged in earnest conversation with the latest singing sensation, a grad- uate of '49, She's saying, I know that I'm early, but I wanted to be here to see each of the girls come in. I've waited nearly ten years for this day. I can't wait another minute. e You won't have to, says our vocalist, two of them are coming in now, Dot Miller and Colleen Moore. The greetings are tumultuous, but when things finally quiet down, we learn that these two have collaborated and produced a best seller. We always knew that they could. About that time We hear a voice saying, Hello, Johnsons! No need to look, for anyone knows that it couldn't be anyone else but Bette Freese. We all know that she has become a successful comedienne, because we see her on our television sets every Thursday evening. Say, isn't that Vickie Davis over there with the five little ones tagging behind her? It certainly is, and aren't they lovely children? We hear that she did a year of professional singing and then gave it up in favor of marriage. She seems to have no regrets. Coming in now is Mary Ann O'Connor. She owns an exclusive dress shop, and it is said that she does nothing but write out bills for dresses for S100 and up. Nice work, if you can do it. Here's Mary A. Of course, you know we mean Mary Agnes Kelley. She's head of a big air transport service, and is really happy, since that seems to be the only thing she has ever wanted to do. I It seems that the whole group is here now, but no-there are still two missing. Nearly an hour passes before there is any sign of them, but they are heard coming in. They are the famous dress designer and interior decorator, Jean Mueller and Frances Ray, respectively. They may be famous, but they haven't changed a bit-still late for everything. The gathering lasts far into the night and finally breaks up to the strains of our school song. MARY AGNES KELLEY. Page Thirteen
