You have put the stamp of your unique personality into these pages, thus making your yearbook a reflection of your faith, your integrity and your ideals. You have left the stamp of yourselves-thus making your work-YOU. It is only through work, be it nursing, teaching or rearing children, that you can express yourself and make a contribution to human progress. Wcurk creates the world we live in. Only you can glorify nursing by putting a halo around each task performed. Go to each patient as you go to worship, with a prayer of thankfulness and the aspiration to serve. As you help sick humanity, as you work for Christian peace, understanding and good will, your influence will merge with the good influence of every age into the eternal golden stream of God's goodness. As you cast the weight of your influence on the side of the good, the true and the beautiful, your life will achieve an endless splendor. It will live on in your patients, friends and families, bigger, finer and nobler than you ever dared to dream. Phillip Brooks has summed it thus: Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks. Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you shall be the miracle. May God love and bless each of you now and always Your loving and devoted, Sister Anita rf Page 7 Chaplain Father Duryea '15 Administrator Sister Roberta Q, '- l rr To Miss Schwind, Assistant Director, for all her-constant help and guidance throughout the past year . . . This is the traditional statement which everyone will be breathlessly awaiting to be answered at the installation dinner. As each student council member prepares to name her successor, she can not help but reflect over the council's work during the past year. It has been a year of amendments, social activities, guest speakers at the Student Body Meetings, health committee reforms, many suggestions from the old suggestion box ,... and yes, Student Court. However each member can not ponder too long on the past, but she must wish her successor luck in becoming part of a new and enthusiatic Student Government.
