Freshman. and Seventh and Eighth grade teams featured new talent under the direction of new coaches. The new coaches. Mr, Walter Pugh. Mr. Robert Haynes. and Mr. William Zeralsky worked with the young lnjuns primarily trying to teach them the fundamentals of good foot- ball. Mr. Pugh coached the J. V. team which was com- posed of freshman. sophomores. and juniors not yet ready for varsity competition. The boys worked out with the Varsity squad, learned the plays. and tough- ened up in order to take the job of regular varsity players next year. Mr. Haynes and Mr. Zeralsky teamed up to take the freshman squad. The squad consisted entirely of freshmen. These little lnjuns who have the desire to play football are run through rough drills and scrim- mages to make them more familiar with the game. Regular games with other schools were scheduled to provide the much needed spark of enthusiasm that comes from interscholastic competition. Sparked by a group of boys who even outplayed the older freshman squad. the 7th and 8th grades have some of the most promising future varsity players ever produced at N.H.S. The Seventh and Eighth grade team. coached by Mr. Deloy, produced a powerhouse of young foot- ball players. These young gridders have all the coaches happily awaiting the day when they will be eligible for the Varsity squad. Mr. Deloy should be commended for the fine job he did developing in these boys the desire and ability to play good football. Tth AND sth FOOTBALL Row 1: Tyndall K. flalione, B. Stone, F. Piasco, A.
