HISTCRY- Class of January, 1942 From Junior School we came, QuiTe a disorganized crew. As freshmen and sophomores so small, We quieTly grew and grew. FirsT we elecTed Bob Wehrle, Bob Cowgill was vice-president WiTh GreTchen Gerds To Take The noTes. So was our class governmenT. l-low can we TorgeT Those dues? Which in allowance make denTs. We voTed Tor Them in November. To be only TwenTy-five cenTs. Say we li++le of our Junior Jump Unless we speak of iTs cosT, For insTead of being a gain To us IT was indeed a loss. The Jump was in January, The same old crowd was There. We combined our eTTorTs wiTh l IBs To make iT a grand aTTair. March l we held our Third meeTing AT which we did submiT, Plans and ideas we ThoughT would do For our Senior BeneTiT. The producTion-a mellerdrama- One we shall never TorgeT- TiTle, Pure as The Driven Snow, or, Ahem, A Working Girl's SecreT. J Our TourTh meeTing was held in November, Plans Tor our Prom were made. We wanTed a greaT success- OT course wiTh The TaculTy's aid. Our Tall Prom in '4l Was indeed a glorious evenTg All who were There enjoyed Themselves Including our class presidenT. Prom TickeTs were green on whiTe ln colors bofh lovely and bold. Johnny DeFal's boys kepT iT hoT And no cold drinks were sold. We decked Tor The Jump wiTh Tunnies, Which was our TirsT real iesT5 BuT The Theme oT The Prom in OcTober Was A NiTe in Sherwood ForesT. We sold candy aT TooTball games BeTween every oTher Thrill: l wonder if The Team were playing now Would we be selling sTill? January 23rd, CommencemenT Day Tor us, A diploma, a handclasp and smile, A word oT cheer and we're on our way Along anoTher mile.
