THE PURPLE AND GOLD CLASS WILL i The class of Nineteen Hundred and Forty-One being of supposedly sound Illlllfi. and possessing an unusual amount of stalwart intelligence, brazen enfrontery and consumate conceit, hereby declares this to be its last will and testament. VVith the realization that no underclassman could hope to cope with the intricacies of high school life without the aid of the departing Seniors, the following members of this most unusual class bequeath their outstanding virtues and vices, if any, to those schoolmates who have the ambition to be as great as we, this Class of Nineteen Hundred Forty-One, believe we are. VVe, Pauline llellemeur and Jennie Ramsey, do will and bequeath our positions as the senior class ladies and Mr. Anderson's confidential secretaries to Marion Rouleau and Noreen Willis. Regard these positions with esteem and beware of competition. I, Florence Adjutant, do will my plump walking encyclopedia to Lena. Ander- son. Too frequent use has worn it pretty thin, though. I, .Iane Plummer, do will my numerous boyfriends to Florence and Iilsie Bige- low. It must be rather lonesome way over on Nute Ridge, so here will be a lot of company for you. Vile, Irene VVhitehouse, Constance Perkins, and Louise Rouleau. do will and bequeath our popularity with teachers, especially Miss Goodwin, to Pauline Dupuis and Mary Drew. VVe hope you will assume our habit of being companions to the teachers after school, so after we are gone, they won't be lonesome. Please be quiet, children. I, Patricia LVitham, do will and bequeath my shy, wee voice to Pauline Dudley. It may save you scoldings from the teacher in study period, Pauline. I, Maurice Fletcher, do will my ability to keep quiet to Roland Pike. You can win Miss Goodwin's heart by doing this, Sethy. I, 'Iohn VVilson. do will my dancing ability to Freddy Comfort. You'll be able to jitterbug up and down the aisle. I, Charles Hosser, do will mv technique of keeping my hair slicked down to Donald Wariiecke so he may catch the teacher's eye at all times, especially if he takes Sociology. I, Olida Soucy, do will my ability to carry on an endless argument to Ruth Burroughs. Ilut remember: 'Beware of entrance to a quarrel, but, being in Bear it that the opposed may beware of thee. I, Philip Brown, do will and bequeath to Donald VVarnecke my Fordy so that he will have a chance to take Marion back and forth to school. I, Harold VanYliet, do will my ability to arrive at least three minutes late to Marion Rouleau and Noreen VVillie. Not that you need it.
