ALL-STATE 8. COUNTY BAND 81 CHORUS This year's sectional all state was held at De- Puy Central School, Nc:- vember 22. VARSITY CHORUS Varsity Chorus is an advanced singing group of the Senior High stu- dents who have had pre- vious experience in ei- ther the Boys' or Girls' Chorus. The officers of this group are Patricia Palmer, President: and JeanMacVean, Secretary. The accompanists are Elsie Warren and David Hurd. The Chorus partici- pated this year in a Christmas exercise and plans several spring ap- pearances, Se lec ted members of this chorus were sent to All-State held at DePuy, Credit is to be given to Mr. Frank Estep, our director, who has done a wonderful job. GIRLS' CHORUS Already this year the Girls ' Chorus has partic- ipated in two public pro- grams: the a n n ual Christmas program and the Union Lenten Service at the Bapti s t Church, The chorus also plans to sing in the Spring Concert and Graduation exercises. Altogether there are twenty-five mem- bers. After two years of inactivity this group was reorganized because of the intense interest shown among the boys and the leader, Mr. Es- rep. The main'purpose of this group is to train their voices as well as minds. This group usu- ally participates in the Christmas program, Spring Concert, and in assembly programs when possible. 39

HIGH CHORUS The junior High Chorus is made up of the seventh and eighth grad- ers, having twenty-seven members. The Chorus partici- pated in the Christmas program and the Annual Spring Concert. The purpose of this group is to train the voices and minds for a better Chorus and appre- ciation of better music in the Senior High. 41
