GIRL'S DORM The girls dorm is alive wiTh acTiviTy. Be- ginning aT 6:l5 A.M., we shake oTT The lasT biT of sleep, shower, slip on cloThes and shoes, and shine Tor brealcTasT aT 7 A.M. Dorm liTe aTTorded many prac+ical lessons in everyday living. We learned prompTness, paTience, and- Tolerance. We learned To give 5 5ympaTheTic ear when needed. We lis+ened To each oTher's concerns and problems. We expressed convicTions and discussed TruThs learned in class. We blended our voices in singing praises To our Lord. STamped on our memories are The warm good-nighT girls Trom Anna and Luella as They Turned oTT The lighTs each nighT, The Times The boys sang Tor us aTTer The lighTs were ouT, and sTudying laTe Tor TesTs lwiTh special per- missionl. Two by Two, we Toolc parT in all nighT prayer chains, each pair spending a halT hour bringing our prayer concerns To The Throne oT grace. We'll remember The TrequenT climbs To The second and Third sTory bunlcs wiTh The subse- quenT vibraTions TelT on The boTTom bunlcs. For Those who could noT sleep prompTly, enTerTain- menT was provided by The sleep-Talkers. Yes, we'll always cherish The memories oT Numidia Bible School, especially Those ThaT broughT convicTion and Those ThaT senT our rooTs deeper in The Word. -Pauline Seibel BOYS' DORM LIFE RinQ-Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-q- T The 6:l5 bell rings, and anywhere Trom 6 To I2 pair oT TeeT hiT The Tloor and There is a mad dash Tor The baThroom. The TirsT Three ThaT geT There made iT . The resT waiT paTi- enTly Tor Their Turn. When all Tinally geT Through iT is almosT brealcTasT Time. ForTy Tel- lows living TogeTher in one room call Tor co- operaTion and submisison by every individual. The discussions we geT inTo are a very viTal parT oT dorm life. When There is a group oT Tellows, anywhere Trom six To TwenTy-Tour sTand- ing around a bunlc, you can expecT ThaT The pro's and con's are being discussed on proph- ecy, daTing, marriage, social liTe or some oTher subiecT. IT will noT be compleTed unTil each person has given his view-poinT. ' BedTime comes before we realize iT, and iT's Time To be quieT and have our personal de- voTions. AT I0:00 we have a cheerTul good- nighT, by BroTher Ben or BroTher Paul, TrusTing ThaT all is well wiTh us. Then There are Those nighTs when our hearTs and souls are Tilled wiTh peace and ioy when The girls sing us To sleep. , . . g by adding only one word, nOT , he would be changing The enTire meaning. ATTer reading a porTion Trom The Bible, we were oTTen given The opporTuniTy To give our TesTimony or To bring ouT a verse ThaT lm- pressed us. This was a source oT encourage- menT To hear oThers Tell oT vicTories won and hear whaT The Lord had done in Their lives. Toward The close oT The period we shared our pra er burdens and Then dispersed To previoushf assigned rooms To pray. As we passed Trom The chapel To meeT wiTh our group To pray, one needed To Think buT Tor a momenT To realize The Tremendous power of uniTed prayer in behalf of Those requesTs which were given. The eTTecTual TervenT prayer of a righTeous man availeTh much. James 5:!6b. P -Carolyn ShulTz EXTENSION' COMMITTEE The exTension commiTTee consisTed of Two or Three Bible school sTudenTs wiTh The aid of BroTher Glenn and SisTer JaneT Sensenig. The aim of This commiTTee was To lead ouT in The TurTherance of The gospel in This com- muniTy. One Thing was To provide places To hold coTTage meVeTings on Sunday aTTernoon in which mosT of The sTudenTs Took parT. AnoTher parT oT our program was preparing To pass ouT inviTaTions Tor The gospel services and music programs. As wiTh our Lord, we have been meT wiTh varied recepTions. May each of us be TaiThTul in our parT of exTending God's kingdom. -Fred Zimmerman A CHORUS We as ChrisTians Tind ThaT iT is easy To sing when our hearTs are in Tune wiTh God. God Tells us To rejoice in The Lord always. Singing, Then, leTs ThaT rejoicing ouT in sound. Maybe our hearTs are bubbling over in praise: iT comes ouT in chorus period. Maybe SaTan is boThering us: singing helps. Maybe we jusT need livening up: chorus may be The answer. Each session is opened wiTh prayer. Then we sing songs BroTher Aaron has picked. On 33 new songs, iT is easy To concenTraTe on noTes and noT The message. This is a problem all The Time-To keep our minds on The message. We do know, Though, ThaT The noTes TiT The mes- sage. We sing songs oT TesTimony, songs of prayer, songs of ioy and praise, and songs of mourning. May God help us noT To sing a lie during This chorus period. We do more Than make a joyful noise. We wanT To send God a sweeT smelling ex- pression Trom The inside and sing a joyful melody ThaT is pleasing To The ear on The ouT- side. ' -ChesTer C. Weaver, Jr. THE COOK'S CORNER We were glad To be of service In our MasTer's gospel Team Serving Tood To l-lis dear child-ren Whom The Saviour has redeemed. We were noT enrolled in classes As They searched The book of books, BuT were glad To serve The MasTer ln The corner Tor The cooks. Our desire is ThaT each sTudenT WiTh a song of joy will go To proclaim The glorious gospel ln The earTh's lasT ebbing Tlow. -RuTh MarTin The Lord has been good in supplying The Tood, or money To buy iT. The TirsT nine weeks we served l9,652 in- dividual meals. May The Lord bless The many who were willing To share of Their blessings and help make The work here a rich experience. We expecTed- a Two day vacaTion when everyone planned To go away on gospel Teams. Snow began To Tall Friday evening. The nexT morning we were snowbound wiTh I22 people To Teed. Our minds wandered To The donaTed food ThaT came in The previous week. Someone said, This is The Lord's work. He meeTs every need. ' AnoTher example oT This would be The Times we TelT we could- use cerTain Toods. Per- haps The same day someone would walk in To ask, could you use cupcakes? We assured Them we could wiThouT sounding Too anxious. -LesTer Miller
