CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP The sfudy of Chrisfian Sfewardship is a very challenging one. If we as Chrisfians accusfom ourselves fo fhe fhoughf fhaf all belongs fo God, fhen we have fhe responsi- bilify fo use all fhafcomes info our possession in ways fhaf will be pleasing fo God. We need fo give ourselves over fo God and as sfewards we need nof despair if if is only a Iiffle we can do for him. As sfewards of God we are fesfed nof so much by 'rhe amounf we give, as by fhe way we handle whaf we receive. This class has been very challenging fo me because we are responsible as fo how we use our fime, our money, our falenfs, 'and every- fhing God has given us. A -Leon Marfin EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES' REVIVALS Godfs spokesman fo us was Brofher Elmer Grove. He was faifhful in showing us whaf God is offering fo us. God speaks fo us 'rhrough His Word which shows us our' sinful condifion. If is wise 'ro fake care of our sins in fhe days of our youfh. We can live a vicforious Chrisfian life when we expose and confess our sins. We need fo live for Chrisf insfead of self. When we do fhis if will be evidenf by our way of life. When we are yielded fo God, He will reveal His will fo us. Those who are living in obedience fo God. have a glorious hope for fhe fufure. As new commifmenfs were made fo Chrisf, peace flooded our souls and we were encour- aged fo a closer walk wifh God. ' -Mary Alice McDorman it-u 2nd TERM REVIVALS Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Thou arf fhe Poffer! I am fhe clay. Mould me and make me affer Thy will. While I am waifing, yielded and sfill. This was fhe song on our lips and fhe prayer of our hearfs during fhe inspiring mes- sages 'rhaf God senf fo us fhrough Brofher Paul Ebersole. The spirif of revival could be sensed as many sfudenfs redicafed fheir lives and made new commifmenfs fo Chrisf. 3 I This peace fhaf fhe world cannof give can be ours only when we have given up self and allowed Chrisf fo have full confrol of our lives. We were again reminded of fhe need of fhe crucified life, one fhaf is spirif confrolled, which is essenfial for spirifual growfh. The af- fifude of everyone living fhe crucified life should be: Lord, whaf will Thou have me fo do? We were encouraged fo sfrive for a gen- uine faifh. a faifh fhaf follows God's will. Evi- dences of fhis faifh were observed in Moses' life. A message on fhe Lord's Refurn was pre- senfed and we were admonished fo live a pure, holy, and diligenf life. Leff wifh us as a challenge was: Where will you spend efernify? -Karen Rhodes n1nin1g gg REVIVAL MEETINGS , . We were privileged fo enjoy fhe effecfs of rivers of living wafer from fhe wells of salvafion in our revival meefings, wifh Brofher Isaac Sensenig as evangelisf. We were broughf face 'ro face wifh many pracfical scripfural frufhs. We as humans are nafurally evaders in facing sprifiual issues, be- cause of fhe fear of whaf facing issues square- ly will cosf fhe self life. However, if is only as we face issues honesfly, fhaf we can experience 'rhe deep peace of God. Our brofher also challenged us fo be whaf God- wanfs us fo be 'as a vifal link in fhe chain of His greaf redempfive program.

Parl of lhe heaven on earlh lhal lhe re- deemed of lhe Lord enjoy now, is good old- fashioned singing of hymns wilh deep meaning. While congregalional singing is basically for lhe honor and glory of God, il is also for lhe edificalion of lhe sainls. One of lhe prerequisiles of good singing is people who are living in Chrislian viclory, and anolher is a well lrained enlhusiaslic song leader. Brolher Aaron Weaver lried lo leach lwelve of us fellows lhe basic principles of song leadership. Slumbling along, ralher off-key, and shak- ing visibly, some of us began lo lead our firsl songs. Progress was made bul we all cerlainly realize lhe need 'for more progress. - Mosl imporlanl, Brolher Aaron laughl us whal kind. of songs lo sing. .Also we spenl some lime on lhe allilude and personalily of lhe song leader, bul mosl of all we were impressed wilh lhe responsibilily we would have in lead- ggdlhe lhoughls of our congregalions loward o . A r -Slephen Ebersole l CHRISTIAN WRITING And I have filled him wilh lhe spirif of God, in wisdom, and in underslanding, and in knowledge and inall manner of workmanship. Ex. 3I:3. Time and lime again Brolher Glenn Sensenig impressed upon us lhal lhe abilily lo conceive lhoughls, pul lhem in lhe wrillen form in such a manner lhal lhey will allracl and keep lhe allenlion of lhe reader, and convey a meaningful message is from lhe Lord, and nol of ourselves. , Sound reading expands our menlal horizon. The need for wrilers is increasing wilh more people reading and people reading more. The firsl lhree requisiles for wriling are a vision of lhe need, prayer, and burden. We learned. slep by slep how lo conslrucl narralives and arlicles. Conslruclive crilicism in lhe classroom was beneficial in leaching us proficiency in lhe minislry of lhe wrillen word for lhe furlherance of lhe Gospel. -Pauline Seibel CHRISTIA HOME A class of aboul enly-five sfudenls mel wilh John Sensenig as leacher, lo sludy a course on The Chrislian I-lome. Wilh each one giving his lhoughl we hadran inleresling class. Firsl we discussed 'a lesson on courlship, and husband and wife relalionship. We dis- covered lhalin order for a couple lo live logelher lhey musl agree in every area of life before slarling a home. The home is a nursery lhrough which each individual passes lhrough on lhe way lo heaven or hell. I ' A Children are lhe fruil of love, nol lusls. Children are an herifage of lhe Lord. which will bind a husband and wife logelher like- nolhing else can. Thy wife shall be as a fruilful vine by lhe sides of lhine house. The church is no slronger lhan lhe homes lhal compose il. 1. The class gave us a grealer desire lo have slrong Chrislian Homes. I g -Arlen Mack l PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING Some leachers have more nalural abilily lo leach lhan olhers. Every feacher has re- ceived help from olhers, and everyone musl pul forlh an efforl lo 'make himself a leacher. This is a subiecl nol only for lhose who are lhinking aboul leaching grade school bul also proves helpful lo lhe Sunday School leacher. We learned lhal lo leach. one musl firsl speak lo lhe menlalily of lhe pupil, lhen lhe per- sonalily, finally lhe spirilual area of lhe pupil. We were laughl how lo use aids, queslions. elc. We also had lhe privilege of lislening lo olhers in our class give illuslralions. and how lhey would make lhe poinl of conlacl, and frame queslions from lhe Bible.
