After three years of working with the students of Nowata High School, I realize more and-more how fortunate I am to have the pleasure of being associated with the finest student body in Oklahoma. With your enthusiasm, your spirit, and your energy, I am sure you will accomplish your goals in life. The Ironman annual is evidence that 1969-70 has been a good year-full of activities and achieve- ments. The annual provides us with a picture record of most of these activities, and I hope it will al- ways be a reminder of one of the best years of your life. As the years roll by and as you thumb through this book, I am sure you will recall many fond memories. On these occasions, may you also remember the wishes and hopes of the teachers who motivated and urged you to reach for higher goals. This great and historic event makes us aware of the potential of man to solve problems when resources are focused on a real goal. This book, the 1970 IRONMAN, reflects the goals and their degree of realization for or- ganizations, teams, groups and individuals dur- ing this school year. To those who have been successful in achiev- ing 'their goals, I extend my congratulations. Those who have fallen short, I admonish to identify new aspirations and goals which will challenge their personal qualities, talents, and abilities.
