Pep Club-3 THE CLASS OF '65 ON REVIEW We the Seniors of 1965 have proved throughout the years that our class is not only the biggest, but that we have the ability to work as a class and win. Even as Sophomores we left our memorable impressions on Nowata High School. The football and basketball royalty were representatives of our class. To show our varied talents we have had representatives in all operettas and various music contests through the years. We became more and more involved as juniors. A member of our class was chosen Fairest of the Fair to represent Nowata County. Other royalty from our class included FFA Sweetheart and Foot- ball Queen. To show our abilities in another field we had an officer on the Student Council. Our junior year held many exciting moments, one of which was, the first class to have round Senior rings. We ended our junior year by presenting the Senior class with a prom. The Roman Holiday theme was carried out by a tiered running-water fountain, multi-flowered garden, colorful murals of Roman scenes, and pillars decorated with drapes and clusters of grapes. Now we are THE SENIORS OF 65 and have realized that we must leave our last and most impressive mark on N.H.S. The honors we have gained are many. The first of the year brought us offices in Student Council, Annual Staff, Pep Club, Future Teachers, Future Homemakers, and Future Farmers. Our royalty included: Basketball Queen, Band Queen, FFA Sweetheart, and Annual King and Queen. To cheer our team on to victory and to keep our school spirit high, we have had outstanding cheerleaders and pep club members. Among the athletes were tri-football captains and a co-basketball captain. A few of our athletes received all-conference and all-state honors. To keep our school running smoothly we have had hard working student trainers and office help. Through all the years not only have we had honors in activities, but also we have maintained a high scholastic standing. We proved this by having co-valedictorians and numerous members of Local and State Honor Societies. We, the Seniors of 1965, have reached one of the first goals of our lives. We hope that all our efforts through the years have left a favorable impression on those we are leaving behind. As we leave the doors of NHS and go our separate ways, may that which is in the future hold as much in store as that of our past.
