Good Citizenship Contest Candidates for this contest must have a grade average of a 'B' or over and are rated on the following qualifications. 1. Dependability--includes punct- uality, truthfullness, self- control, and loyalty. 2. Service--includes do-operation courtesy, and consideration of others. 3. Leadership--includes personal- ity, and ability to assume responsibility. 4. Patriotism--anunselfishinterest in family, school, community, and nation. The chorus has participated in festivals in Miami and Bartlesville. a fall and spring concert a combined Band and Mixed Chorus concert and the district contest in Tahle uah. This year was iighlighted by exceptional halftime Performances at nine regularly scheduled games. The units were received royally at the Coffeyville College vs Parsons College game where all groups put on a night light show that was said to be the most spectacular show ever presented on Ise Field. Other highlights of the football season were the T. U. VS Nevada Same which was designated as Band Day, and the Santa Claus parade in which the Nowata Band was one of the escort bands for the Santa Claus Float in Tulsa. The Concert sea' son was very musical centering on the Miami Music Festival, the Bartlesville Music Festival, the District Contests, the Bands Annual 'Give Away' Concert.
