BAD NEWS BEARS The varsily girls' soffball 'leam was coached by Mr. Tinsley 'this pasi year. Since fhe girls didn f have fheir firsf scheduled game unlil fhe second weelc in April, They had pleniy of iime lo worlx on skills before The opening game. Of 'lhe eleven bad news bears , four were seniors including Annie Robinson, Heafher Barr, Sue Beall, and Nanci Por+er. Mary Weber, Lori Giorgio, Denise Burnham, and Tracy Soblxow were fhe iuniors, Sophomores were Carol Champney, Debbi Agarwal, and Marie Russell. Cheryl Shanlrel was fhe only freshman al+hough Bonnie Raefz occasionally played varsify. Some oufslanding players were Sue Beall wi+h a .960 fielding average, and Nanci Porier who held lhe feam record wi+h a .420 baHing aver- age.
