Our music deparTmenT began 'he day early and oTTen sTayed laTe preparing Tor 'he Tour major concerTs and The several compeTi- 'ions They engaged in This pasT year. BoTh bands lSymphony and ConcerTl were arger Than ever - and mosT would agree They were beTTer Than ever, Too! The Symphony Band, For example, played more diTTiculT music - nusic usually aTTempTed only by much larger schools. The pasT year Novi hosTed The DisTricT Band FesTival where we earned a FirsT Division raTing. The TiTTy-Tive Symphony Band members Then wenT on To compeTe aT STaTe where They received a Second Division raTing. Moreover, many sTudenTs Tool: parT in The DisTricT Solo and Ensemble FesTival where They were also raTed on Their performance.
